Reverse Reaction

Shirt: Target     Skirt: Abi Ferrin     Shoes: Charles David
Belt: My mom's from way back when     Necklace: found in Mikonos, Greece
Can I just say that reversible things that are actually cute worn either way are so much fun! I also really like that you can see a little bit of the underneath color no matter which side the skirt is worn. It adds just a hint of extra visual interest.
I feel like all of my pictures from this week have been super bright colors but I am just so excited to be able to wear them! It puts me in such a happy mood to be walking around in a bright orange skirt!

What Life Looks Like Through Photographs

Top: Madison Marcus     Pants: corner store in Santorini, Greece     Shoes: L.A.M.B
How incredible are these pants?! I wish I had gotten several pair. I wear them all the time when the weather is hot. They are so light and thin so they don't hold the heat in at all and are extra comfortable. They go perfect over my swim suits when I am out at the lake or dressed up with a cute blouse and heels to go out or to work. Versatile is key!

Rusted

Top: Mcginn     Tank: Michael Stars     Pants: Citizens of Humanity     Shoes: Steve Madden
I am loving all of the bright floral prints that I have been seeing. I never really realize that I have been wearing dark muted colors all winter until the spring stuff starts to come out. All of the bright colors and prints are so cheery and I love wearing these kind of clothes. It is weird because I love the colors from spring and summer but winter is my favorite season ... hmmm.
Once it gets really hot I will probably be wearing this Mcginn tank with shorts and skirts more than pants but I love the way the different pinks go with these rust colored bottoms.
This necklace is something my mom ordered from a store in Oklahoma. I have it is gold and pewter too. It is really cool because it looks so heavy and chunky but in reality it is super light weight. I can twist is and knot it up any which way or just wear it long. It is a fun piece.
I grew up just outside of the city where I live and we raised donkeys for fun so we had a big barn and lots of land to play on when my siblings and I were kids. Being out in the country like I am in these pictures is always a little bit nostalgic. I was so lucky and had a great childhood. I tell my husband all the time that if I didn't love the location that we live in now as much as I do I would really love to buy the house I grew up in. He and I are city people though. I think if we ever moved outside of the city we wouldn't like it very much.

The Climb

Shirt: Joie     Skirt: Michael Stars     Shoes: Seychelles     Purse: Melie Bianco
We got this skirt in at the store where I work and I have been obsessed. I love that the skirt it shorter in the front than in the back. I love that the color is green but it is just the right green to be perfectly neutral so that it can go with just about anything. I love that it is stretch cotton making it incredibly comfortable. And ... I love that it has pocket because let's face it, pockets make everything better.
I was just recently saying that I do not own a button front shirt. That was such a weird realization because I feel like a button front shirt is such a staple in the normal closet but I guess my closet isn't very normal. To me that is a good thing but this blousey tie front button up has now been added to my closet.
This mustard colored fringed bag is awesome. My mom and I found it on the old square of the little town where she and my dad live. I have had it for three or four years now and I honestly like it just as much now, if not more, than when I got it.

Contrasting Hay Fields

Shirt: Parker     Skort: BCBGeneration     Shoes: Gianni Bini     Necklace: Antrhopologie
Ryan's parent's live on some land in Oklahoma and these pictures were taken out in the hay field behind their house. The combination of bright colors is really true to me. I love color more than the average person (ha!) and the brighter the better. I really like the way the colors pop against the light color of the hay.
Ryan and I now officially have 8 nieces and nephews all five years old and younger! Isn't that crazy?! My sister-in-law had a little angel girl last week and so we went to visit them and got to spend some time with Ryan's family. It was so fun to get to hang out with every one because we don't get up to visit them as much as we would like. The baby is so sweet and Ryan and I were both really excited to get to meet her!

Fashion Week(end) Day 1

As you may or may not know Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was February 10-17 in New York. This is a chance for designers to present their lines for fall 2011. I am so excited about what is in store for us next fall so I am deeming this weekend "Fashion Week(end)" and I am going to show off some of my favorites from fashion week. Believe it or not this has been modified ... what can I say, I am a fashion junkie and proud of it! Enjoy!
