Go Your Own Way

Top: Beyond Vintage
Jeans: Citizens of Humanity
Wedges: Jessica Simpson
I have always said that if I was going to go back in time to live during a different time period it would either be the 60s/70s or the 40s/50s. I would either be a hippie or an Audrey Hepburn type ya know.
Anyway today I am taking notes from the hippies with my flowy lace top, exaggerated flare jeans and wedges (not that you can see them in any of the pictures but I promise they are there).
It is interesting to think about ... which time period would you most like to live in other than this one? Who would your fashion inspiration be?

So Much To Say

Tshirt: Understar
Tank: DNA Couture
Shorts: Genetic Denim
Shoes: Gianni Bini
I ordered these shorts a few months ago when I was at market with my boss and they just recently arrived. Obviously I am super excited! Anyone who knows me knows that I am completely obsessed with hot pink ... so ... these shorts are pretty perfect.
I saw this T in a store and couldn't resist. I just think it is cheeky with the zebra all decked out in her pearls and hot pink wayfarers. That's my kind of zebra ha!

The World Exploded Into Love

Dress: Divided by H&M
Shoes: Michael Kors
Hat: Banana Republic
I was out at my parents house a few weekends ago and I had forgotten pajamas so I was going through the drawers in my room looking for some and I found this dress. I had totally forgotten about it. What a fun surprise! So, I brought it home because it isn't doing any good sitting in a drawer at a house I don't live in right?! So cute!

There is another fashion blog I follow (http://steffysprosandcons.blogspot.com/) and she incorporates hats with a lot of her outfits. So today I pulled inspiration from my fellow blogger and wore a hat. Love! You guys should check out her blog!

Elements of Freedom

Top: Aaron Ashe
Skirt: Abi Ferrin
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Street Vendor in Greece
Happy Monday all! What a gorgeous start to another summer week. I love all of the sunshine we are having. I could do with it being about 15 degrees cooler considering we have been right around 100 everyday for the last week but still, it is beautiful outside. It looks and feels like summer out there ... just like this outfit don't you think?! Too bad I am no longer a kid in school with a summer break and the mindset that 3 months is basically a lifetime. I have no room for complaint though because I get about two days off a week to do with what I please.

Fashion Loving iPhone Users: Must Have App!!

There is a fashion app for the iPhone called the "My Style Fashion Assistant." It allows you to upload all clothing, shoes and accessories in your wardrobe into the app. You can also upload photos from online of items you may be wishing for. You can then use the three panel slider to mix and match any of your items right then and there to find the perfect outfit for your day and you can add up to six accessories once you have chosen your ensemble. . The app allows you to include items from online shopping to see how they work with the items you already have. There is a calendar including so that you know what you wore when ... no more wearing the same outfits over and over. This app has been featured in US Weekly and InStyle and has received rave reviews from all kinds of users. It does cost $1.99 but it is way more than worth two bucks so go on and download. You will love it just as much as I do for sure.

Trendy Tuesday: Floral

I really love all of the floral pattern that I am seeing around. I think it pulls from so many eras and is still very modern and fashion forward. Some florals are bohemian and almost 70s inspired while others may be tailored and more 40s inspired. No matter which era this print is leaning toward, it is always ultra feminine, flirty, and romantic. Just the right touch for a summer time girl to make her feel fun and beautiful.
