Summer Lovin

A while back I set up a polyvore account but I have never really played with it .. until today. RT is at work and I am just sitting at home absently watching tv and reading blogs and I just decided to revisit this whole polyvore situation. So here is what I came up with. Better late than never right?! 

I have been lusting for some green or yellow jeans and I love the color of these. Plus they seem to be crazy versatile. They go with tons of different styles of tops. Topped of with a nude pair of Jeffrey Campbell booties that go with absolutely everything, a nude Marc Jacobs bag and tons of multi colored jewelry. Love! Love! Love!

Oh Monday

Except that it's not. Its Tuesday which is insanely confusing to me. I am sure I will be a day behind all week but that means the weekend will come one day early and I have no complaints there. Plus market is this weekend and that is one of my very favorite parts of my job. So basically it's good things all around.

I love these pants from free people. They are so light and airy which is a must when it is 95 degrees outside. The tribalish pattern of pinks and purples is super cute and pairs perfectly with the texture of this ivory lace top. I basically live in my nude dolce vita wedges because they are extra comfortable and literally go with every single thing. You will get tired of seeing them quickly I am sure. Sorry bout that.

.. my niece Emery went water skiing for the first time yesterday! She is only 3 and was so awesome!! Way to go little love!!

A Gift

A while back, I was out shopping with my mom. We saw this ring and I fell in love with it but decided not to get it .. clothes were our focus on that particular excursion {ha!}.

Well, apparently my husband and my mom had some sneakiness going on because he surprised me with it for our anniversary!!

Cotton

Today is our two year anniversary. According to wikipedia, it is our cotton anniversary.. just fyi. It is tuesday so RT is at work and so am I but we celebrated this past weekend.

We went to Fredericksburg for a little weekend getaway. It is close enough to drive and hang out for a couple of days but far enough away that you really feel like you are out of town. It is a cute little tiny town with lots of old charm and texas hill country vineyards all around.

We ate some really yummy food while we were there .. of course {ha!}. Lunch at the fredericksburg brewery .. dinner at the Hilltop Cafe .. breakfast at fredericksburg tea and coffee .. lunch at the peach tree tea room .. dinner at the herb farm .. yum! yum! yum!

We walked around town. In and out of all of the shops. Admiring the scenery and the multitude of vintage cars and trucks all around us.

We stayed at the herb farm in a cute little one bedroom cottage. We spent a lot of time on our porch enjoying the view from our porch swing and the rocking chair.

Sunday, on our way back home, we stopped at Enchanted Rock and hiked up to the top. It is a huge granite rock formation and the views were gorgeous. 

I wish that we had gone there on a day when we had more time to spend but I guess that just means we will have to go back .. oh darn!!

We had a fun relaxing weekend together and I am so lucky to get to spend this life with my sweet husband! Two years down .. many many more to come.

Feet

These are my feet. It would be totally weird that I am posting a picture of my feet except ..

 

.. I painted my toes nails last night and I think they look pretty darn cute!! I made the polka dots with the end of a qtip and the point of a tooth pick.

.. I am completely crushing on these dolce vita flats. I almost never wear flats but these I couldn't resist and I am a very satisfied consumer so far {ha!}

 

On another note entirely .. tonight is my sweet little Janey's very first dance recital and I am super excited to watch her dance her heart out on that stage!! Good luck angel girl!!

Delayed

I actually wore this outfit on Monday but RT has been at work for two days {major boo!} so these are the most up to date ensemble pics that I have. I normally wouldn't wear hot pink cut off shorts {by genetic denim} to work but paired with this fun multi colored lace floral cami by hanky lanky and worn under my lace and fringe poncho from free people they were more than appropriate. I wish I could wear this poncho everyday. It feels so throw back to me and adds insane amounts of visual interest. Clearly I am strategic when getting dressed most days but every now and then I have an outfit that I like more than most and this was one of those times. I will definitely be wearing this combo again and probably sooner than I actually should. {ha!}
