Dinner

For dinner Sunday night, RT and I had black bean burgers with a corn and peppers side. It was so yummy!

 

I used this recipe from skinny taste for the burgers. We are major avocado lovers so i almost always put avacado on any kind of burger i make. I also put a tomato slice on mine but RT hates tomato so he did not get one. All inside a whole wheat thin round.

 

For the side I just roasted corn on the cob, one poblano pepper, and one green bell pepper in the oven. Then I cut the corn off the cob and diced up the peppers. Mix it all together and serve.

 

Delicious!

Black Bean Burgers .. or Not

Last night I had all the fixins to make black bean burgers for dinner. But when I got home we decided on a date night instead. We watched an episode of teen mom .. because it is important to start your night off with some seriously good quality television .. then headed to this extra yummy pizza place near by and enjoyed a really nice date night together.

I truly love spending time with RT. I know what a blessing that is and i cherish every second we spend together. He is my very favorite person to hang out with and even better than that .. he likes hangin out with me too! I am a lucky girl :)

and bonus .. he's super easy on the eyes!!

If I Was Your Boyfriend

Well ok I guess that would be kinda weird considering .. well .. everything ...



ANYWAY .. I super love these jeans! I have had them for years and the more I wear/wash them the softer and slouchier and awesomer they get. And bonus .. RT likes them too. I read in a magazine the other day this list of 'the top 20 clothing items your guy wants to to get rid of' and boyfriend jeans were on the list. Well not my man! Booyah!



When my grandmother moved a few months ago, this belt was one of the things she gave to me. It is rainbow colored with gold studs all over and I have worn it a ton. It just adds a little something fun and kinda 80s and that is alright by me. I do not subscribe to the 'if I wore it the first time it was in style I can't wear it when it comes back' rule. I dont like fashion rules period.

Let me start by apologizing for my lack of posts lately. My life has been one giant whirlwind the past week or so. It has been great but super super busy! Sorry bout that!!

Moving on ...

golf is a major passion of RT's so a few weeks ago we went to a tournament

RT's parents were visiting that weekend so they ventured out to the tournament with us on Sunday

there has also been lots of fun out on the lake with the kiddos now that summer is here in full force
