Spring Forward

Shirt: Joie
Shorts: Caribbean Nights
Boots: Ralph Lauren
Look how green everything is! It is so exciting to see all of the grass and trees turning green again and all of the flowers are blooming. For the past couple of weeks on runs around my neighborhood i have noticed so many people toiling in their yards to plant new bright plants for the spring and summer. It is literally as if all plant life is emerging like a hibernating bear. Gorgeous! I love fall and winter and the snow is my most favorite thing on earth but the spring is so so pretty and perfect.

Go Your Own Way

Dress: Vintage
Shoes: L.A.M.B
Random mix of jewelry
This is the happiest spring dress. The bright colored floral print with the circle skirt over a tulle petticoat just makes me smile ... and twirl. I am not sure what that is about me but I can't help but twirl in a skirt like this. You would think I was a kid. You should try it though I mean twirling is pretty fun I can't lie. While we were taking these pictures there was a couple that walked by and even they started dancing and acting silly. It was awesome.
My dress is vintage and I had originally planned to wear it with some canary yellow floral heels I have by Irregular Choice but it was just a teensy too girly for me. I have a pretty girly personality but I guess I needed shoes and accessories that were a little more funky and unexpected.
Happy Monday!

My Blues

Shirt: Vince
Skirt: See You Monday
Wedges: Jeffrey Campbell
My blues are all new. Actually this entire outfit is new which is always fun. I have been wanting blue wedges for so long and these are perfect. They are so comfortable and bright and I am in love!
So, this is a weird fact about me ... this is the first button-up I have owned since I was a kid. I know button-ups are a staple in most closets but I don't tend to dress very structured so I think they look strange on me most of the time. That is why this one works for me. It can be worn regular but the bottom has buttons on the side seams so that it can be twisted up like this.
I am pretty sure this skirt will be my favorite skirt of the season. I am obsessed with everything about it ... the length ... the color ... the lace ... my personal perfection. I am loving my blues!

Elizabeth Taylor

The death of Elizabeth Taylor Wednesday March 23, 2001. The death of a legend. She was 79 years old and died of heart failure as I am sure you have all heard.
There are three old hollywood classic women whom I truly idolize; Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day, and Elizabeth Taylor. While her personal life is not what I would choose for my own, she is truly an icon and so deserving of the adoration she acquired throughout her life. She was an incredible actress and an incredible beauty. As a girl who has always been into fashion and glamour I have looked up to women like this my whole life. She will be forever remember as an incredible actress and by her striking eyes and will be missed by so so many.

Product Experiment: Sally Hansen Salon Effects - Real Nail Polish Strips

Last week I was on vacation in Crested Butte, CO and I was in this really cute boutique on Elk Avenue called Lavish. We always go in there when we are in town. They have great items for children and tons of accessories for adults. Anyway, I was talking with the owner and noticed her nail polish. I told her I liked it hoping to get color and brand info and what she told me was very surprising ... she said "Oh thank you! Actually it is that Sally Hansen stick on nail polish. I have been really pleased with it. This is two weeks old and it lasted on my five year old for a week." I was shocked! Stick on nail polish actually looks good and on top of that it lasts!! WHAT?? Now I don't know how familiar you are with five year olds but regular nail polish looks good on my niece for maybe two days ... that is if she actually sits still long enough for it to completely dry which let's face it, doesn't happen. Needless to say I had to try it. It was super easy to apply, really looks good, and comes in 24 different colors/styles! Woohoo! It is only day one so I don't know how long it will last but I will keep you posted.
